How to Become A 2010 Contestant

Three Ways to Enter:

1.  Enter a Local Miss Delaware’s Outstanding Teen Pageant:
~ Several official local preliminary pageants are participating with the Miss Delaware’s Outstanding Teen Pageant.  By winning a local Outstanding Teen title, you will receive a $100 scholarship reduction in the entry fee from MDOT.  The local pageants may require entry fees of their own, but usually provide additional prizes and awards at their discretion.  The advantage to you is that you not only receive a reduction in entry fee for the state competition, but the Local Executive Director will also provide you with expert training and advice.  Please visit www.MDOTeen.org, Local Pageant Information, for upcoming pageants in your area.

2.  Enter as an At-Large Contestant:
~ MDOT accepts At-Large Contestants not sponsored by a local program.  A title is not required.  Contestants who compete in a local MDOT pageant, but do not win, may still enter the state MDOT Pageant as an At-Large Contestant.  The At-Large Contestant is responsible for the total fee.  Visit www.MDOTeen.org for application materials.

3.  Enter as an At-Large Contestant with a title other than an official MDOT local title.
~ At-Large Contestants with a title other than an official MDOT local title may also compete and will receive a $50 scholarship from MDOT.  The contestant must provide written verification of their title.  The title must have been received between March 30, 2009 and the date of the 2010 MDOT state pageant.  Visit www.MDOTeen.org for application materials.
