Research the Cause" is very dear to her heart. Her cousin two years ago
was diagnosed with Type I diabetes. Type I diabetes occurs in most children
eighteen years and younger and currently there is no cure. With her Platform
Katelynn hopes to educate our current teen generation, hold benefits, attend lunches
and charitable events to help JDRF with their fight for a cure. Katelynn has
acquired many local titles over years. She entered her first pageant at the age
of eleven to acquire self confidence and growth. She believes that working hard
for what you want to accomplish will pay off if you stay true to who you are
and where you have come from. Katelynn won the non-finalist talent award for
Delaware's Outstanding Teen 2009 and came back this year with a dream and
accomplished that dream and became your current Delaware's Outstanding Teen
2010. She is proud to represent Delaware and be a role model for all teens
today.
